Abstract
An experiment was conducted at NOSSDAV 2005 with a low-cost approach to presentation capture. The goal was to produce material for on-demand replay through the ACM Digital Library. RGB capture was used for high-quality capture of presentation material, and "capture-and-compress-to-disk" recording similar to broadcast industry "live-to-videotape" recording was used to reduce the cost of production. The experiment was very successful. This approach to capture, production, and publication costs roughly $3,000/day of captured material. This talk describes the technology used and the lessons learned. Presentation (May 8, 2006) |
