Isochronous transport

• Each isochronous data stream has:
  • One “talker” (source of the data stream)
  • 0 - 63 “listeners” (any node on the bus can listen)
  • Can be set up by a node that is:
    • Neither the talker nor one of the listeners
    • Async only
    • Fairly low computing power µcontroller
    • Not in the high speed data path
